What are Enlarged Pores?

Pores are the small opening in the skin that release oils and sweat connected to hair follicles. Skin has two types of pores. One releases our body’s natural oil, called sebum, and the other releases sweat.

If pores are clogged, they expand making the pores look more noticeable. Enlarged pores can occur at any age and in all ethnic groups.

Laser Treatments


Laser's exfoliate the top layer of skin removing thin layers, encouraging collagen to form. These technologies work by stimulating collagen production and tightening the skin, resulting in a reduction in pore size and improved skin texture and color. Laser therapy is an option that can be tailored to your specific skincare concerns.


Chemical peels

Chemical peels can help different types of skin anomalies over time with multiple treatments plus following post care instructions.

Chemical peels use acids at stronger concentrations to treat the desired area of skin. They reduce the appearance of by removing the top layer of the skin (epidermis). Some concentrations may also penetrate the middle layer of the skin (dermis) to produce more visible results.


Microneedling

Is a procedure that uses small, sterilized needles to prick the skin. The treatment generates new collagen and skin tissue to smooth, firm, and tone. Improving the appearance of acne, scars, dark spots, wrinkles, and large pores.


Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion treatments are a minimally invasive way to exfoliate dead or damaged skin cells, removing the thicker, uneven outer layers. It can be in combination with other treatments depending on patients unique needs.


Topical Treatments

Common topical treatment for pores is Retinol and salicylic acid that may help clean dirt, oil and other debris clogging pores. Some of these ingredients may irritate some skin types.
